Sarajevo Stories

Sarajevo Stories is a photographic collaboration between Sarajevo-based Nino Jovišić and Barcelona-based Andreea Muscurel.  Chasing the sun and the disappearing Sarajevo they once knew, Nino and Andreea sought to tell the stories of the spirit of the city. Ten black and white images shot with two analogue cameras that were built in the time when both Nino and Andreea were children of socialism. Each postcard shows a perspective of the city that is often missed, yet forms part of living in this great city. Climbing up the hills of Vratnik to be lost in thoughts while overlooking the city; drinking the cool waters of the Begova mosque, especially on a scorching hot summer’s day; walking amidst the lights and shadows on Ferhadija St., or getting lost in time in Skenderija.

Some of the images were published in Dani Magazine in January 2012, Sarajevo’s main cultural publication

Postcards can be purchased at Rukom in Sarajevo.
